Text and speech processing

The app passes entered text to the selected operating-system speech engine for reading. The reviewed source does not implement a SENACTA server that receives the reading text. Android can use network-required voices, so processing is not always offline. Your speech provider’s settings and privacy terms also apply.

Data stored on your device

The app stores voice preferences and a reading-normalization cache on the device. The cache contains text-derived strings and readings. Android also uses temporary synthesized audio files and stores downloaded models in app storage. These records support speech playback and reuse of reading conversions.

Android app backup is enabled in the reviewed configuration. OS backup settings may copy app data outside the device. Review your device and cloud-backup settings before entering sensitive text.

Optional downloads and external services

Experimental Android model downloads connect to huggingface.co and its delivery destinations. The service receives connection information such as the IP address, requested model file and app user-agent. The reviewed download code does not attach the reading text to these requests. Additional model availability and functionality differ from the standard speech engine.

Retention and deletion

The reviewed implementation has no fixed expiry for reading caches. On Android, clearing app storage removes local app data and settings. On iOS, delete the app rather than offloading it to remove its local data. Backup copies must be managed separately through the relevant OS or cloud service; restoring a backup may restore data.
